Founders at the Fringe
Section titled “Founders at the Fringe”What does “founders at the fringe” mean?
Section titled “What does “founders at the fringe” mean?”We see Founders at the Fringe as the people who operate at the margins of knowledge, culture and even society. We think of those who feel a sense of “dislocation” from what they see or where they are, because they entertain ideas few people like or care to entertain, yet they are obsessive about some of these ideas and are obstinate enough to push until they see them realized.
It is also the people who don’t necessarily live near hubs or melting pots, but build and see themselves as citizens of the world.
Why is this important to us?
Section titled “Why is this important to us?”Because people like us build for people like us.
Can established companies apply? Established companies are welcome to apply. However, there are a few caveats:
- We believe that “A camel is a horse designed by committee.”
Is this only for startups? Not necessarily, but it is aimed at visionaries and risk-takers. Most of which found startups.
