FAQ

This section covers common questions that span multiple topics, along with practical examples and getting started information.

What AI/blockchain features are available now?

Section titled “What AI/blockchain features are available now?”
  • As of now, no proprietary products are yet developed in this regard.
  • What we do now, is find excuses to test and play with every tool that sparks our curiosity in these fields.
  • Sometimes we will use LLMS to create “micro apps” to achieve specific purposes within our workflows. (Think of a tile pattern generator, a musical flyer maker, or the lava visualizer you saw in the Energy tab in the main Anything You Want page).

What if a beta feature doesn’t work for my project?

Section titled “What if a beta feature doesn’t work for my project?”

Most of our beta features are likely to be more “standalone” services and apps than something integrated in a project’s pipeline, so they are totally optional.

What kind of “Standalone” app could that be?

  • Our priority is in making tools for automating the boring “I need a designer, but I really don’t” part of the work, like finding a specific file in a specific format, or generate visual communication assets based on existing templates.
  • You’d be prioritized when it comes to testing and getting feedback from, but it’s optional.

Is there a formal process? Just bounce your ideas out loud. We’re always happy to hear

Additional cost?

  • If needs have a deadline, they should be considered as regular tasks within the delivery queue.
  • If needs exceed the scope of the services offered in Anything You Want or you would like to propose a different kind of agreement, such as a standalone bespoke project, or a partnership, we are open to hear your ideas.

What can I actually accomplish in one month?

Section titled “What can I actually accomplish in one month?”

This really depends on the work you’re doing and the pace you’re moving at. Having said that, this service was tested for over a year and this is what we found out:

At Initiation + Generator?

  • Define the fundamentals of your brand identity: from concept to logo
  • Design a 3-5 page website, from content architecture to wireframing to finished Figma files for desktop and mobile.
  • A landing page Webflow build
  • Semi-final concept art for an illustrated poster (final, production-ready illustration and design might take extra 2weeks to 1month)

At Dreamcasting + Reactor?

  • Develop an online communications strategy for your brand. End the month with written narrative, a kit of templates and publish-ready online content (images, blog posts, tweets, etc) for ~2 weeks.
  • Design a set of characters for your new videogame. Going from sketched concepts to game engine-ready 3D assets
  • Design and visualize your next brand’s physical flagship store. Ending with an interactive 3D view of your space.
  • Design and build a 3d-printable prototype for a new product you’re building. Then make a promotional short video based based on CGI and motion graphics.

Building a brand identity from scratch:

  • Essentials like brand dossier and logotype: 1-2 Months / 8-16 checkpoints
  • A complete visual identity system including written word (brand voice), templates and rules for internal and external communication: 3-4 Months / 24-32 checkpoints. Could be half the time if “brand voice” and messaging are provided by you.

Designing and developing a website?

  • A basic 3-5 page website, including Content Management System features like blogs, take around 1 Month / 8 Checkpoints to fully design and define, and 1 Month / Checkpoints to build the functional site on Webflow.
  • A single landing page for the launch of a new product or brand can be done within a month.

Creating a product prototype?

  • Totally depends on the product and the work previously done.
  • Let’s say, you want to design a new smart-microphone with integrated AI.
    • We would first need to align on what parts of this project you expect us to work on.
    • We would ask a lot of questions first (do you have a team? who will manufacture? who depends on our work? on whose work do we depend? what are the technical requirements? and so on…)
    • Based on the scope of the job (because there is a big difference between wanting visual concepts and 3d printables for a products casing AND designing the product itself), we would split the goal into chunks and the chunk into tasks. Based on that, we would calculate the amount of checkpoints it would take to finish

Launching a full campaign?

  • ~ 1 month to do research, concept development and ideation
    • ~2-3 months If it requires video and/or 3d, motion graphics, etc:
    • ~ 1 month if it requires static graphics for social media
    • ~ 2 months if it requires printed materials like t-shirts and hats
  • +~ 1 month if it requires a landing page Total w/ Generator: ~6-8 Months Total w/ Reactor: ~3-4 Months

What do I need to prepare before applying?

Section titled “What do I need to prepare before applying?”
  • All the information and context you can provide in regards to your project
  • Important details about your specific operations:
    • Do you need us to sign NDAs?
    • Are there special considerations we should have in regards to staying in sync remotely?

Once your application has been approved, we arrange a kick-off call do discuss details and set a start date. While it’s not mandatory, we try to align starting dates with the beginning or ending of a month.

The first remote-viewing session is recommended on start date as a “goal-setting” session. It’s also recommended to have –even if a draft– of your most important goals and your ideas on how to tackle them. If you are having a hard time prioritizing, it is part of our job to help you do this, so no worries.

The first checkpoint will happen within 48-72 hours (or 16-24 working hours) from the first remote-viewing session. From there, the cycle will continue following this pattern.

  • Monthly cycle starts upon first payment.
  • Billing is automated and must be linked to a card or bank account via Stripe.
  • If billing attempts fail for 1 week. A grace period of 1 week is given to Anything You Want seat holders.
  • Keep track of the things your goals.
  • Live one step ahead of emergencies. Plan instead of putting off fires.
  • Have a “backburner”: save interesting or exciting ideas in a backburner archive… so if/when the time comes where our to-do list is low on tasks, the backburner can come into play serve as a good R&D workshop for your brand.
  • Don’t be polite: Communicate, communicate, communicate.
    • A creative collaboration thrives or dies by the level of trust established between participating parties. Feedback is crucial for this. “Bad” feedback is the best feedback.
  • Don’t be shy: For your work to be your best work we need you to be yourself.
  • Don’t panic: Embrace the suck.
    • Paralysis by analysis is a real thing for creators. The fear of making something that sucks is real. We call it “iterative creative production” for a reason; not because it’s going to suck, but because things can always get better through time and iteration. Look at nature, look at evolution, look at technology… Everything is an iteration towards something better. So if you feel like trying out new things that feel a bit outside of your domain, yet important to you. Just go for it!

How do the different tiers and features work together?

Section titled “How do the different tiers and features work together?”

The various components of Anything You Want are designed to work together seamlessly:

  • Craft tiers (Initiation/Dreamcasting) determine skill complexity
  • Energy tiers (Generator/Reactor) determine capacity and speed
  • Membership mechanics govern the business relationship
  • Process & communication ensure smooth collaboration

Yes! You can:

  • Upgrade/downgrade Craft tiers with 3 days’ notice
  • Switch between Generator and Reactor energy tiers
  • Pause your membership (up to 12 months)
  • Cancel with 2 weeks’ notice

What if my needs don’t fit neatly into your categories?

Section titled “What if my needs don’t fit neatly into your categories?”

We’re flexible! The categories are guides, not rigid boxes. We can:

  • Customize approaches for unique projects
  • Blend skills across different levels
  • Adapt processes to your workflow
  • Create hybrid solutions when needed

Anything You Want is a nod to a book with the same title, written by Derek Sivers

Why? Because the ideas it contains had a big influence in the creation of Twilight Fringe. Because in a world of “growth experts” and metric-based creativity, we want to be—and create–with people who choose to follow their hearts and gut rather than what the numbers and best practices tell them to. We believe this is the space where the best ideas are born and the world gets better because of it.
